Is it possible to install ElectricFlow Community without virtualization?

I'm trying to run ElectricFlow Community for my own educational purposes, but both the docker container and the virtual box VM are kind of resource hogs and I can't help but think if I just ran this on the bare machine I could do it more effectively. However, that is not provided as an option on your download page.

Is there a way to just do that instead?

Thanks!

There are several resources and studies by IBM and others that concluded that the overhead of a container is negligible or nil compared to bare metal, and in most cases slightly better than kvm or other virtual machines. There may still be some latency in NAT networking, but that is minor especially if this is for educational, non-production purposes.
