This can be done by running a query to your database's server. All job information is stored in the database so you can use a query to determine the amount of jobs that were created within a certain time period. This process is recommended before running any large batch cleanups. The following queries are examples you can modify and use for your own purposes.

MySQL

 select count(id) AS "Total jobs" from ec_job
 where  DATE_FORMAT(created, '%Y%m%d') >= DATE_FORMAT('2015/3/4', '%Y%m%d')
 AND DATE_FORMAT(created, '%Y%m%d') <= DATE_FORMAT('2015/3/6', '%Y%m%d');

MS SQL Server

 select count(id) as total_jobs from ec_job
 where  created >= '2017-12-27 09:38:57.740'
 and created <= '2018-12-27 10:29:29.217';

Oracle

 select count(id) AS "Total jobs" from ec_job
 where  created >= '30.01.2018 11:05:05,620'
 and   created <= '30.12.2018 11:05:05,620' ;
