How can ectool abortJob show status of abort?

I'm attempting to use ectool abortJob and the resulting status of the job is error. When I do an abort of the job from the UI, the resulting status of the job is abort. How can I get the ectool abortJob to show a status of the job as abort?

I'm running EF 8.2 and am not observing this behavior.

Job aborted manually:

 ectool --valueOf //abortStatus getJobDetails job_609_20180314093224
 ABORT

Job aborted with ectool:

 ectool abortJob job_610_20180314093409
 ectool --valueOf //abortStatus getJobDetails job_610_20180314093409
 ABORT

Here's my test case in DSL:

 project 'Ask Abort Job Question', {
     description = "https://ask.electric-cloud.com/questions/7358/how-can-ectool-abortjob-show-status-of-abort.html"

     procedure "Job to abort", {
         step "Job that sleeps", shell: "sh", command: "sleep 100"
     }
 }

Hi - I'm looking for abort to be indicated in the //job/combinedStatus/status value. I'm using electric flow version: 6.1.0.98785

Job that was aborted using ectool abortJob :

-bash-4.1$ ectool --valueOf //job/combinedStatus getJobDetails ac86ee9e-2887-11e8-9190-0021f6cf0f6e

      <message>Error</message>
      <status>completed_error</status>
    </combinedStatus>

-bash-4.1$

Job that was aborted from the Electric Flow UI using the abort button on the job:

-bash-4.1$ ectool --valueOf //job/combinedStatus getJobDetails 7d8e2c89-2889-11e8-8899-0021f6cf0f6e

      <message>Aborted</message>
      <status>completed_abort</status>
    </combinedStatus>

-bash-4.1$

Why do I get a different status when using the abortJob API versus the UI's abort button?
