How do I force a kernel dump?

A cluster host is stuck and I need to get a kernel dump for debugging.

What OS are you using, Windows, Linux, or Solaris?

If you can access the agent command console (for example, telnet node 2409), do so; otherwise, start a new agent interactively. Then issue the following commands to the agent:

% set efs [efs connect 0]
 % $efs uselock false
 % $efs panic

Note: On Windows, make sure the system is configured for the most comprehensive available type of memory dump, typically "Complete memory dump" rather than "Small memory dump". This setting is controlled through the control panel.
