Is there a way to reduce the build time for a large .o file? In a library build, one large .o file takes approximately 50 minutes to build. In Clearmake it takes approximately the same amount of time. Is there any way in an emake cluster build to make it faster?

ElectricAccelerator will not improve the speed for individual processes. Given that it takes about the same amount of time without ElectricAccelerator, there will be no speed up. It's possible the compile is I/O bound if it is accessing a lot of files. If it is a huge C file, you may want to break it into smaller files. Or you may have hit an inefficiency with the compiler, in which case you should contact the compiler vendor to investigate this particular compile.
